Currently feeling that after my door seal for my fridge has been falling off and my blender broke this morning (did you know that blenders are apparently not waterproof, which seems like a gross oversight where things can spill?).

I am desperately trying to get progress on some things at work so I can go home and work until after dark on a fairly miserable home improvement project that will last into tomorrow, which I spent an hour and a half on before work, and spent 2PM to sundown yesterday on. And projects keep piling on with the most idiotic of updates and requests and papershuffling
horseshit.
I’m sitting at my desk trying to catch up/dig out with my arms in agony, knowing that I’ve got hours to go. Hooray.

Solidarity, buddy. Keep pushing, find what’s a priority, do that first, figure it out from there.

I prioritized on the thing I hated most. So now that it’s updated (about three-four cycles of updates), I have sent it out again to be sent to the customer so they can find fault with it... which we were waiting on because we had revisions coming based on revisions to an internal component and weren’t sure we could use the component we’d been planning on using for about a year now.
“It’s fine”, said the component guy. “The changes you want won’t change it from what you presented, but it will look a little different like the attached document”. Thanks, component guy.
So that launched me into the current wave of revisions of other things that people had held off on mentioning (or even reviewing) until I had that in and could circulate it again. Stuff that was wrong but nobody bothered to notice until just now. Requiring multiple exports to Acrobat, importing from Acrobat into Word, exporting back out of Word into Acrobat, combining with other Acrobat files, and “done”. Then “oh shit, I forgot to fix that thing I noticed but they didn’t mention”. Rinse, repeat.

I think that goes without saying, but thanks for confirming.
